بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The biggest problem faced by Muslims living in a Buddhist majority country like Sri Lanka is the bad way Sri Lankans view Muslims because they slaughter animals. Even though we Muslims slaughter most animals in Sri Lanka it is the majority community who consume the slaughtered animals most. But some extreme and opportunistic elements in the majority community use this as means to vilify us. DAWAH CORNER – SRI LANKA decided in this Uddhiya period to publish a book to give the correct knowledge about this in Sinhala language.
The author of this new book is brother Ibnu Mansoor. He is one of the veteran Da’ees in Sri Lanka and a authority about Buddhism among Sri Lanka Muslims. He is capable of writing a in-depth book on this topic comparing Islam and Buddhism. But without angering and antagonising Buddhist he has only included the Islamic perspective in this book.
Alhmadulillah, with this book DAWAH CORNER – SRI LANKA will finish its tenth book publication in Sinhala medium. Accordingly the ten books published by DAWAH CORNER are as follows.
- Buddhism and Islam by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Christianity and Islam by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Woman in Buddhism and Islam by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Life of the world in Buddhism and Islam by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Introduction to Islam by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Biography of Muhammad (PBUH) by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Introduction to Islamic law by Brother Anver Manatunga
- Islamic political science by Brother Anver Manatunga
- What is the nature of man by Brother Ibnu Monsoor
- Islam and animal slaughter by Brother Ibnu Monsoor
In this moment we sincerely thank all those who helped us publish this book. We hope Insha Allah, you will be with us to continue this Da’wah work in Sinhala medium in the future too.
