Da’wah through Ifthaar – Let us spread the word of Allah in this Blessed Month

People’s interest in Islam increases in Ramadan. Ramadan is a great opportunity to share Islam and more specifically, its values of spirituality, generosity and kindness with others, especially the non Muslims. It is a great time to do Da’wah. And Da’wah is very much needed in the current atmosphere where there is a great need for reconciliation among the faiths.

DA’WAH CORNER SRI LANKA launches its Ifthaar Program with the intention of increasing Islamic awareness among the non-Muslims. Each event will consists of short briefs about What Ramadan is, what things we do during fasting, brief about Islam followed by a Q&A Session. Then we invite them to share the joyous moment of breaking the fast.

DA’WAH CORNER SRI LANKA, plans to organize two types of Ifthaar program. One is Mini Ifthaar, where we have the Ifthaar event at a house of a Muslim brother/sister who is living in a predominantly non Muslim neighborhood. The target number of invitees are 15-25 people.

The other type is Public Ifthaar, where the event is organized at a Public Institutions and Government Offices such as Divisional Secretariat Offices, Police Stations etc.). Target participants are 65-100.

The Ifthar pack will include:

The estimated cost for a Mini Ifthaar is: Rs. 175/= (per person) X 25 = Rs. 4375/=

For a Public Ifthaar: Rs. 175/= (per person) X 100 = Rs. 17,500/=
