A Muslim brother among you

Six years ago I embraced Islam either not in a Mosque or any Da’wah centre but secretly in a Muslim brother’s residence. Unfortunately the said brother is no more. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un) Now I feel the struggle which he underwent to the cause of dawah. (dawah to non Muslims) Unlike today there were problems in the field. But he could not do anything since he was a powerful member one of Islamic movement in Sri Lanka. This may due to misunderstanding. (Allah knows best) Though I really appreciate the work that movement among the Sri Lankan Muslims.

The days when I embraced Islam I found the status of Islamic dawah (dawah to non Muslims) in Sri Lanka was in infant level. This mainly because they do dawah for the people only those who are approach them. But these organizations do not dawah voluntarily. But I like to mention happily here there are few individuals who had done this sort of dawah.

When I was doing this dawah all alone for some time I happened to meet some dawah organizations then I work with. I got an opportunity to express my fresh thoughts to them. We both parties saw a success in that matter. Though on practical ground we had differences implementing matters but I appreciate those organizations for their efforts to work with me.

A result of this amongst lot of challengers I decided to go solo. Actually this not a one man organization idea is gathering the persons who in the same ideas approached me like saying goes “same feathers of birds flock together”.

As a beginning we advertised in the national news papers “A call for Islam” we had very good response for this call and we have been continuing through out. Followed with

and many more. This made change in Sri Lankan da’wah field.

This effort wouldn’t have been successful up to this juncture if not for a handful of good hearted brothers of Islam contributed financially. So we feel for their contributions they heap the harvest in the Akhira.

May Allah bless them all!

Unfortunately the good hearted people used to contribute or donate only during the month of Ramazan.

So dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters, we invite for those who wish to tread on the path of Allah by way of sacrifice their skills, time and finance to carry out this mission.
